Vee Carter hasn’t always been uber-confident in her dating and social skills.
Actually, far from it.
Growing up, Vee was very shy and had absolutely no luck with boys. It wasn’t until high school that she started to come out of her shell, joining various social groups and learning to interact with her peers as an upper classman. She didn’t even have her first boyfriend until she got to college.
So where does the magic come from? Who does she think she is?
Well, the short version of the story is that she suffered a devastating loss when her husband suddenly passed away in 2016. While battling depression, anxiety and crippling PTSD, Vee also found herself in desperate need of companionship. Thus, she threw herself into dating and was forced to figure out how to use dating apps, avoid f*ck boys, and learn how to get the most out of her love life.
At first, it was as bad as it could get. She dated a series of jerks, swindlers, cheaters, and scammers. Her tipping point happened at the end of 2016, when she spent New Years Eve crying in a public bathroom stall, and wondering how things had gotten so out of hand.
Then something clicked. She realized that she actually had a choice. She had always had a choice, but had never fully used it. She reclaimed her power and that has made all the difference.

Vee Carter has an MBA and BA from Pepperdine University and UC Davis, respectively. She found forever love in her 2nd husband, and together they raise their two daughters, “Doc” and “Blueberry” in Atlanta, GA.
